The National Integrated Medical Imaging System (NIMIS) went live in Naas General Hospital on July 24th 2012. We are the 12th hospital to introduce this radiology/digital imaging system. This new imaging system allows doctors to  request  radiology examinations electronically.  Radiology results are reported using speech recognition and are available electronically to GPs in the area who are registered with Healthlink. NIMIS allows the rapid transfer of images between clinicians for consultation.
